Trauma Therapy / EMDR

I identify purposefully as a trauma therapist and have committed myself to ongoing training that supports my ability to help my clients heal from pain. This is my area of expertise and also my passion. I work with clients who have survived both complex and single-incident traumas. I am a firm believer that as humans we will experience pain and trauma and that other humans will likely be the cause of this pain. We all do the best that we can with the resources that we have, and still, heart break, abandonment, and abuse are realities of the world that we live in. I believe that our bodies and brains are amazing and that we are wired to survive difficult situations and relationships. I also believe we are capable of healing and living full and meaningful lives in which our trauma histories do not have to define us. Choosing to recover from trauma is vulnerable and intimidating process and one that I would be honored to guide you through. I can be strong and hold onto hope if you aren’t quite there yet. I will celebrate alongside of you as you see your shame and pain start to fade away and worth and joy begin to make their way into your heart.

I am a certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist and use this approach to help alleviate suffering. The science behind EMDR therapy and the way it helps our brains reprocess information is significant. This therapy has transformed by life and the lives of so many of my clients. I am so thankful for its existence and committed to studying it deeply.
